Georgia Bearss Crume

     Georgia H. Bearss was born in Peru, Indiana on August 16, 1871.   She married John Crume in 1871 in Fulton County, Indiana.  He was an engineer on the Wabash Railroad and the son of a dentist.   They lived much of their married life with Georgia’s parents in the City of Peru in the Ridgeview area.  On January 30, 1917, Georgia was elected to the board of directors of the executive committee of the Miami County American Red Cross.   John Crume died in 1951 leaving Georgia to live out the years alone until she too passed on in 1966.  She was 94 years old.
