Private: Son of Phillip and M Johanna (Doud) Holland; born September 22, 1898, Clarence, Mo. Employee of Chesapeake ad Ohio Railroad, Peru, Ind. when he entered service May 5, 1918, Indianapolis, Ind. Sent to Ft Benjamin Harrison, Ind.; assigned to 62nd Engineering Corps. Embarked fr overseas July 14, 1918; assigned to 86th Company, Tank Corps. Killed accidentally April 15, 1919, Riaucourt, Haute Marne. Body to be returned to US, and interred in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington DC in the Argonne Cross area.
