Son of Bruff and Zwea EASTERDAY; born June 13, 1886, Onward, Cass County, Ind. Moved with his parents to Erie Township, Miami County, in 1898. Engineer. Enlisted in US Regular Army June 4, 1917, Peru, Ind. Sent to Ft Thomas, Ky; assigned to Battery B, 19th Field Artillery. Embarked for overseas May 27, 1918.
