Police Sergeant in Gary at time he entered service February 16, 1918.
Sent to Camp Greene, N. C.; assigned to Company A, 47th Infantry. Went
overseas in May, 1918; assigned to 4th Division. Killed in action July
30, 1918, Chateau-Thierry. Survived by widow, Pansy Lee Boyer, Gary,
Ind. Interred Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-Et-Nesles, France,
Plot B Row 7 Grave 5.
