Forest Betz was born 27 Feb 1897 in Napoleon, Ohio. He enlisted 19 Sep 1917 as a private and was discharged 1 Mar 1919 as a sergeant. He married Ida H McCauley on 31 July 1919 in Louisville, Kentucky. They were the parents of five children. Forest worked as a Wabash railway dispatcher. He died 21 Nov 1940 and was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru, Indiana.
