Clarence Henry Bandau was born 9 Jul 1900 in Fort Wayne to
Theodore Bandau and Pearl (Rader) Bandau. He grew up in Peru living just seven
houses down the road from fellow future veteran Raymond Bader on Third Street
in Peru. His father died when Clarence was three years old. His mother
remarried in 1907 and Clarence became the step-son of Oscar Banks. He left Peru
High School during his senior year and enlisted 2 Jan 1918. He was discharged
13 Jun 1919. He married Jeanne Alice Havens in Allen County 22 Jan 1941 and
they lived in Fort Wayne through the 1940s. In 1958, Clarence moved to
Glendale, Arizona, where he managed the Glenwood Terrace Trailer Court. He died
